Tamil Nadu : The qualification for the post of computer instructor in secondary education has been changed. Government order issued by School Education Secretary P. Chandramohan in this regard: Since the post of Computer Instructor (Grade 1) and the post of Post Graduate Teacher in Higher Secondary Education are of the same level, the post of Computer Instructor (Grade 1) is being merged with the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Education Service Special Rules. The educational qualification for this post has been determined as follows. For the post of computer instructor, one must have M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and B.Ed. degree or M.Sc. degree with B.Sc. B.Ed. or B.A. B.Ed. degree. The order also states that the bachelor’s degree and master’s degree should be obtained in the same subject. According to the old government order, candidates who had M.Tech. or M.E. degree and B.Ed. degree in subjects including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Technology were considered eligible for the post of computer instructor. According to the currently published government order, ME and MTech graduates are not eligible for this job.
