Raipur. 2516 children were given Swarnaprashan on Wednesday at Government Ayurveda College Hospital, Raipur to improve the immunity, digestion power, memory power, physical strength and to prevent diseases of children. Bal Raksha Kits made of five medicines were also distributed to 179 children to prevent various diseases and increase immunity. Swarnaprashan is given to children between zero to 16 years of age on every Pushya Nakshatra date by the Kaumarbhritya Department of Ayurveda College Hospital. Along with Swarnaprashan, Dr. Lavekesh Chandravanshi examined the health of the children. Swarnaprashan was given in the Government Ayurveda College Hospital campus under the guidance of Director of AYUSH Department Ms. Iffat Ara, Principal Prof. Dr. G.R. Chaturvedi, Hospital Superintendent Prof. Dr. Praveen Kumar Joshi and Head of Kaumarbhritya Department Prof. Dr. Neeraj Agarwal. Lecturer of Kaumarbhritya Department of the college Dr. Satyavati Rathia and postgraduate and undergraduate students contribute significantly in this every month.
