Jaipur: Rajasthan is in the grip of severe heat wave. The government has asked the health department to be prepared for emergency situations. Beds have been reserved in hospitals. From tomorrow the Sun will transit in Rohini Nakshatra. Which is also called Nautapa. This means that the heat wave is going to remain even more severe for the next 9 days.
Barmer in Rajasthan was the hottest city in the country on Wednesday. The maximum temperature recorded here was 48 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the day temperature crossed 47 degrees in 5 other cities. Temperature was recorded at 47.2 degrees in Jaisalmer, 47.4 in Churu, 47.2 in Jalore, 47.6 in Fatehpur and 47.1 degrees in Banasthali. The maximum temperature in the capital Jaipur was recorded at 45.2 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department warns that the maximum temperature may increase by up to 3 degrees in the next 72 hours. A warning has also been issued that there will be a severe heat wave in Rajasthan for the next 5 days. Red alert has been issued in some districts of Eastern Rajasthan and most of the districts of Western Rajasthan.
