Raipur : Chhattisgarh Government is implementing Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh to financially empower the women of the state. The financial aid provided under this scheme will not only help women invest in their health and well-being, but will also encourage their decisive role in the family.
Sukanti Singh, a resident of village Adawal of Jagdalpur district, said that after the government announced the launch of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, she got information about the scheme at a camp organized at local community center by Women and Child Development Department. At this camp, she filled the application to register as beneficiary for the scheme. Sukanti Singh is very excited to be selected as a beneficiary under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. She works as a daily wage labourer to support her family. She has two daughters and one son in the family, the husband died a few years ago.
After scrutiny of the application, she was enlisted as an eligible beneficiary of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Sukanti told that she will use the amount she receives under the scheme for providing better education to her daughters.
