Jagdalpur. Two women living in different areas of Gadiras police station of Sukma district consumed poison due to unknown reasons. They were brought to Mekaj, where the women died during treatment. After the incident, the police got the body post-mortem and handed it over to the family members. Giving information about the case, the police said that Hinge Madvi’s husband Murka Madvi (33 years), resident of Togras village of Gadiras police station area, was acting as if she was mentally ill for some days, her family members were also busy in getting her treated. On the evening of May, the woman consumed unknown poison kept in her house.
The family took her to Sukma District Hospital through 108, where after being admitted for 2 days, she was referred to Mekaj. During treatment at Mekaj, the woman died on the night of 26th. It is being told that the woman has three small children, while the husband also does farming work.
In the second incident, Heme Sodhi’s husband Gulshan Sodhi (20 years), resident of village Kasarguda of Gadiras police station area, after drinking Sulfi, was searching for more Sulfi on the night of 25th May, but after not finding Sulfi, she drank the poison kept in the house, due to which she died. Later she was taken to Sukma District Hospital, from where she was sent to Mekaj, on the night of 26th the woman also died, the bodies of both the women were handed over to their families after the PM.
