Stone pelting in the mine, gang of scrap thieves attacked

Manendragarh. The terror of scrap theft gang is increasing in Haldibari mine under SECL Hasdev area. Thieves who entered the mine with the intention of stealing have injured a worker by pelting stones. Sub Inspector Anjani Tiwari, posted as security in-charge in Jhagarakhand sub-region under SECL Hasdev area, has lodged a report at Khongapani police post about infiltration and stone pelting in Haldibari mine by unknown thieves with the intention of theft. The police have registered a case and are investigating.

The complainant said that on the day of the incident, December 22, senior security guard Narendra Kumar informed by phone at around 7.30 pm that unknown thieves were pelting stones, due to which Sanat Kumar Shukla, who was on duty as an electrician in the security attache, got hit on his forehead. But I got hurt by the stone. On immediately reaching the spot after receiving the information, the thieves were not found on the spot. The injured electrician has been admitted to Central Hospital Manendragarh for treatment. Let it be known that Haldibari mine has been the target of scrap thief gang for a long time. Many times in the past, scrap thieves have been knocking here and trying to steal the valuable equipment of the colliery. Now the workers working in the mines are being attacked by them.
