Kabirdham. Police has started strict action against the suspects living illegally in the district. A joint team of Special Task Force (STF) and district police raided more than 20 areas in and around Kawardha city. During this, 9 such suspects were caught who were hiding in the area without valid documents and police verification.
Among the arrested people, 4 were from Uttar Pradesh, 1 from West Bengal, 1 from Maharashtra and 3 others were living without any documents. Crimes have been registered against all of them in two separate cases under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
According to the STF team, during this campaign, the identity and documents of about 200 people were checked. Immediate legal action has been taken against those who were found without documents or who had not done police verification.
