State Minister Muraleedharan accuses CM’s daughter of taking bribe of Rs 1.75 crore

New Delhi: Minister of State V Muraleedharan on Thursday claimed that the Kerala Chief Minister’s daughter’s company, Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), was not able to produce any evidence for Exalogic Solutions providing services. “The Minister of Corporate Affairs has submitted a report stating that he has not been able to give a satisfactory answer regarding the services provided to the company in Aluva, CMRL…but his daughter has not been able to produce any such agreement.

She could not clarify what service she provided, hence she received Rs 1.75 crore, which amounts to a bribe. “The report says that the CM’s daughter received a bribe of Rs 1.75 crore from a company which was getting many benefits and essential benefits from the government,” MoS Muraleedharan said. Earlier, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan rejected allegations against his daughter Veena and her company Exalogic Solutions of allegedly receiving “illegal payments” from Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) and said these were legal business deals. Were.

“Exalogic had done business with many companies and CMRL was one of them. Exalogic received remuneration as part of a legal settlement with CMRL. Income tax is deducted at source and GST is paid. It is understood that this has been disclosed in the income tax returns of Exalogic Company,” the Kerala CM said.
Citing the report of the Income Tax Interim Settlement Board, Pinarayi said that it is his primary responsibility to listen to the other person’s side.

“The primary responsibility of hearing the side of any other person in an affidavit against any other person as part of the investigation rests with the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative officers who are charged with the administration of natural justice. That did not happen here,” Pinarayi said.
