Karnataka: Former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda said that the country’s economic growth has been remarkable and India has emerged as a global power due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s principles of governance. He made these remarks after hoisting the national flag at the BJP office on Republic Day.
He said, “We have seen that those who ruled the country for more than 50 years have insulted the Constitution. They have tried to misuse the constitutional platform through the Governor.”
He added, “They have tried to spread hatred in the state through the Governor’s address. This is a bad precedent, and the people of the entire state should strongly condemn it.”
N. Ravikumar, Chief Whip of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, said, “We need to think about whether we have adopted our own economic policy, political policy, socio-educational, religious, and industrial policies. Prime Minister Modi is working hard to fulfill the dreams of the freedom fighters.”
He further said, “The administrative system and law and order in Karnataka have completely gone off track. We all need to think seriously about this. Everyone needs to work together to bring about change in the state as well.”
Legislative Council member Bharati Shetty, State General Secretary N.S. Nandish Reddy, party leaders Y.A. Narayanaswamy, Abdul Azeem, Dr. Lakshmi Ashwini Gowda, Prakash Shesharaghavachar, and others were present on the occasion.
