The Congress government has finally responded to the RTC JAC strike warnings. It has invited the RTC JAC for talks to resolve the issues. Government officials will meet with the RTC management and JAC leaders at the secretariat at 5 pm, said JAC Chairman Eduru Venkanna.
Meanwhile, Eedaru Venkanna, speaking earlier on the strike, said that they are going on strike from tomorrow to resolve their problems. He said that all RTC unions and public associations have expressed support for the strike they have launched. He said that it is regrettable that even though it has been 41 days since the strike notices were given, the government and the management have not held talks. He said that so far, RTC officials and the government have not called them for talks. He said that at least no measures have been taken to prevent the strike.
He also called on outsourcing staff to participate in this strike. He warned that the RTC strike is going to turn into another general strike. He said that their legal demands should be resolved.
