Let us tell you that about one and a half lakh people die untimely in road accidents every year in the country, the main reason for which is due to the lack of immediate medical facilities to the injured. The first 01 hour during a road accident is the golden hour for the injured, during this time if the injured person is taken to the hospital in any way or medical facilities are made available, then in 90% of the cases the life of the injured can be saved. But in today’s time, most of the people do not take any measures to save the life of the injured person in order to avoid getting into legal trouble, due to which the injured person dies in agony at the spot due to lack of treatment. Keeping this in view, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Raipur, Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh has directed all the station in-charges of the district to promote Good Samaritan as much as possible for providing immediate help to the injured in road accidents occurring in the police station area and to present the Good Samaritan who saves the life by providing immediate help to the injured for encouragement and reward.
