Srinagar, Khwaja Farooq Renzushah has reiterated his demand for renaming the Lal Chowk as Adil Shah Chowk, a press release said.
Syed Adil Shah, a pony operator, had laid down his life while protecting the tourists during a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
Renzushah said that member of Central Haj Committee Aijaz Hussain, who has played active role for Hindu- Muslim unity, has fully endorsed his demand for renaming Lal Chowk. “ Syed Adil Shah in fought bravely against terror. He was unarmed but for the protection of innocent tourists who were esteemed guests of entire Kashmir, he pounced over terrorists in Pahalgam and laid down his life. He made every Indian Kashmiri proud,” he said.
Renzushah said that Aijaz Hussain had a chance meeting with him today few yards away from Lal Chowk and complimented him for his demand. He described the demand good for communal unity.
