Srinagar-Jammu highway blocked for the second consecutive day

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s lifeline Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained closed for the second consecutive day on Sunday due to landslides. Traffic department officials said several landslides have occurred in Ramban district due to incessant rains. “Efforts are on to restore the highway for traffic,” officials said. “Passengers are advised not to travel without contacting our control rooms in Srinagar and Jammu.” Let us tell you that all the essential supplies are transported to the valley through this highway. Meanwhile, snowfall continued on Srinagar-Leh, Mughal Road, Sinthan-Kishtwar Road, Bandipora-Gurez and Kupwara-Tangdhar Road and were closed for traffic.
