Mumbai: Actress Srileela has reacted to rumours of getting paid less than Samantha Ruth Prabhu for her item song in Pushpa 2. In Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, Srileela will be seen in the special song, Kissik, replacing Samantha Ruth Prabhu from Pushpa part one. In the first instalment, Samantha’s Oo Anthavaa was a runaway hit and remained a chartbuster for several weeks. However, the initial response to Kissik from Pushpa 2 has been mixed, with many calling Oo Anthavaa better than the latest item song. Recently, Srileela was spotted promoting her film Robinhood, and there she spoke about her choice of saying yes to the item song. She said, “The song itself will justify my choice. It is not your usual item song. There is a strong narrative reason behind it, which will become clear when the film releases.” Srileela also addressed the rumours of getting a lesser fee than Samantha for the song.
Sreelila wisely responded, “We have not yet discussed the remuneration with the producers.” There have been reports that Srileela was paid Rs 2 crore for the song, while Samantha reportedly received Rs 5 crore for the Pushpa: The Rise song Oo Anthavaa. However, Srileela completely shut down the rumours.
Rashmika Mandanna hints at Pushpa 3? Rashmika recently shared a note on her Instagram Stories, celebrating the completion of Pushpa 2, their five-year-long journey, and hinting at Pushpa 3. She wrote that her “whole day” went into the shoot. “I knew it was my last day but somehow it didn’t feel like the last day, you know. Like hmm I don’t know how to say it. In 7/8 years of course, there’s still a lot of work left and obviously there will be a third part, but it felt different it felt heavy it felt like it was ending,” he said. Pushpa 2 will release in theatres on December 5.
