Khanapur: Nirmal District Collector Bhavesh Mishra has directed officials to expedite the construction of Indiramma houses in the district and ensure that every eligible poor family receives a home. On Wednesday, the Collector issued instructions to officials during a review in Nirmal town.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that Indiramma houses should be sanctioned transparently to eligible poor families currently living in huts during the second phase. He reviewed the progress of house construction mandal-wise with the Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs).
He suggested providing loans through women’s self-help groups to beneficiaries facing financial difficulties to ensure that construction work does not stall. He ordered the effective implementation of solid waste management in both rural and urban areas, making daily garbage collection from every household mandatory.
