Special trains will run today for those returning to Chennai.

Tamil Nadu: A special train will run from Nagercoil to Tambaram on Sunday (December 7).
Southern Railway issued a press release regarding this on Saturday:
To clear the holiday rush, a special train (No. 06012) will depart from Nagercoil at 11:15 PM on Sunday (December 7) and arrive at Tambaram at 11:15 AM the next day.
On its return journey, the train (No. 06011) will depart from Tambaram at 3:30 PM on December 8 and reach Nagercoil at 4:15 AM the following day.
This train will stop at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, and Tirunelveli stations.
Similarly, a special train (No. 06024) departing from Coimbatore at 11:30 PM on December 7 will arrive at Chennai Central at 9:20 AM the next day.
On its return journey, this train (No. 06023) will depart from Chennai Central at 12:20 PM on December 8 and reach Coimbatore at 10:30 PM the following day.
This train will stop at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, and Katpadi stations. Bookings for these trains have already commenced.
