Actually, Dasai Ram resident Puranga filed a report in Bagicha police station that his uncle Jadhia Ram’s house is next to his house. On the night of October 5, he was sitting in his house at around 8 o’clock, when he saw that his cousin Alang Say came from Basti side in an inebriated state and started asking his wife for money to drink alcohol. When the wife did not give him money, he started beating her. To escape from the accused, the woman ran towards Basti with her children.
When the accused’s father Jadhia Ram was sleeping alone in his house. During this time, Alang Say reached there and started demanding money from his father to drink alcohol. When he refused to give the money, the accused son got angry and started hitting him on the head, chest, back and left hand with a wooden stick kept in the house. He died on the spot in this incident. The police registered a case in the incident and got the post-mortem of the deceased done. Also, a crime under Section 103(1) BNS was registered and investigation was taken up. The accused Alang Say was raided and taken into custody from his village within a few hours. During interrogation, the accused admitted to committing the crime and the wooden stick used in the incident was seized from his possession. The accused Alang Say, age 40 years, resident of Puranga police station Bagicha was arrested on 6 October and sent to judicial custody.
