Gariaband: The sensitivity of the police has once again been seen in the district. Gariaband Police has proved its sensitivity by donating blood to the injured Naxalite woman who was battling for life.
According to the information received, a group of Naxalites active in Bijapur was busy expanding the weakened Naxal activities in Gariaband. On the basis of secret information received by Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Tukaram Kamble, a team was sent to search Sikasar area of Mainpur police station area on Thursday. The campaign started late Wednesday night.
The team included the E Super 30 team of the district police force along with a CRPF contingent. Meanwhile, there was an encounter with Naxalites in the forest of Chhindaula on Thursday evening. Additional SP DC Patel said, 25 to 30 Naxalites must have been present at that time. The firing was going on from both sides. After firing three-four rounds the Naxalites ran away. A female Naxalite was found injured during the search. The name of the injured Naxalite is Parvati, who is between 25 and 30 years old. She is a resident of Seelager, Bijapur. The injured Naxalite was immediately treated and then admitted to the district hospital through 108.
