Raipur: On the last day of Ashtahnika festival, Date 21/07/2024, Ashadh Shukla Purnima, 2550 days, at Shri Adinath Digambar Jain Bada Mandir (Small Tirth), Malviya Road, Raipur, Ashtahnika festival and Guru Purnima festival were celebrated with great pomp and show by the religion loving brothers of the society in a devotional atmosphere on Sunday. Former Vice President Shreyash Jain Balu said that today at 8 am, the miraculous idol of Lord Parshvanath made of crystal gem was placed in front of the pedestal of Lord Parshvanath in Bada Mandir (Small Tirth) and anointed with silver urns. Palak Jain got the privilege of doing today’s Riddhi Siddhi Sukh Shanti Pradaata Shanti Dhara. The pure recitation of today’s Shanti Dhara was done by Treasurer Dilip Jain. After performing the musical aarti of the Lord, everyone performed Guru Pujan with Dev Shastra Guru Pujan, Nandishwar Deep Pujan, in which everyone started the worship of Acharya Shri Vidya Sagar Ji Maharaj and established him. Along with this, the community members, while dancing with devotion and with the eight substances in their hands, water, sandalwood, rice, flowers, naivedya, lamps, incense, fruits, and recitation of Mahaarghya Mantra, remembered Acharya Shri Vidya Sagar Maharaj and offered Arghya. The entire Jain temple echoed with the chants of Acharya Shri Vidya Sagar Maharaj. Shreyash Jain Balu said that the life of a person who does not have a Guru in his life has not started. By worshipping Guru and archana Acharya Shri, we consider ourselves blessed by taking his blessings and in this holy festival, we should take a pledge to follow any rule for at least one year or lifelong. Always following his orders, commands, walking on the path shown by the Guru is considered the true Guru Dakshina.
