Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kavre inspected three government offices located in the capital Raipur this morning and directed to issue show cause notices to about 25 officers and employees who were absent from the office at the scheduled time of 10 am. Kavre reached the office of Joint Director of Agriculture Department this morning. No officer or employee was present in the office at the scheduled time of 10 am. Seeing the lock on the main gate of the office, the Divisional Commissioner expressed deep displeasure. He spoke to the Joint Director over the phone and directed to issue show cause notices to all the absent officers and employees. Kavre then inspected the office of Joint Director of Urban and Investment Department and the office of Registrar of Cooperative Societies. The Divisional Commissioner also directed to issue notices to the absent officers and employees in both these offices. He also directed all the officers and employees to be present in the office at the scheduled time of 10 am. chhattisgarh news During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner reached the Urban and Investment Office and sought information from the present employees about the pending cases under the Public Service Guarantee Act. Kavre expressed his displeasure when the present employee was unable to provide the information. He also instructed to maintain registers along with keeping online records of cases related to Public Service Guarantee Act. The Divisional Commissioner instructed the present employees to make efforts to provide maximum benefits of government schemes to the citizens visiting the office with ease.
Citizens should not have to make rounds of government offices for their work. The Divisional Commissioner also instructed the officers to resolve pending cases promptly as per government rules. The Divisional Commissioner also instructed the officers to display information about government schemes including Public Service Guarantee Act and the time limit set for their implementation at appropriate places outside the offices.
