Meerut. In Hastinapur’s village Rathaura Khurd, a person was shot dead by the villagers in broad daylight. The news of the murder caused a sensation in the village and police force from several police stations was called to the spot. A dispute was going on for the last one month between the people of Scheduled Caste and Valmiki community in the village Rathaura Khurd of the police station area. According to the villagers, there was a mutual rivalry between the two sides regarding the occupation of government land.
The villagers told that a month ago, there was a dispute between the two sides regarding children. Both the parties used to have a dispute among themselves. On Friday, 45-year-old Sohanveer son of Omprakash of Scheduled Caste was going to the village from his house for some work. He used to work as a furniture maker in the village itself. On Friday afternoon, when he reached the main road of the village, some youths of Valmiki community fired at him with an illegal pistol. In which he was seriously injured.
Sensation spread in the village as soon as the sound of the bullet was heard. The family informed the police about the incident and took the injured Sonveer to the CHC. Where the doctors declared him dead. On the other hand, as soon as the news of Sonveer’s death reached the family, there was chaos. The villagers said that Sonveer had four children, two sons and two daughters, and all of them were unmarried.
