Shoolini Engineering Earns High SCIMAGO Ranking, 3rd All India Rank

Solon. Spain-based SCIMAGO research organization dedicated to information analysis has given high ranking to the engineering programs run by Shoolini University.
Shoolini’s mechanical engineering program has been ranked 3rd in India, while its engineering programs have been ranked 12th in the country by the Scimago Institutional Ranking (SIR) World Report.
The highly respected ranking body has ranked Shoolini University at the 22nd rank, while it has been placed at the seventh position for research.
Addressing a press conference here today, the Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla said that these positions in engineering programs are due to the efforts made by Shoolini University to design its engineering programs and develop the curriculum of the courses keeping in mind the career requirements of the future. This has been done by developing the state-of-the-art curriculum of Shoolini University Engineering Programs including adoption of Artificial Intelligence.
He added that “to meet the needs of future industry ready engineers, the University has launched a new course namely B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics”. Under this, mechanical engineering students will be exposed to the latest technologies and developments in AI and robotics, which are used in every sector, be it manufacturing or automotive related, he said.
Addressing the media, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Virendra Rihani said that the students will get practical exposure from industry experts under our industry-academia partnership program with Anand Automotive, Microtek, Milestone, Ind Sphinx, MT Autocraft and Cosmo-Ferrite. He said, “Our students are being trained at our MoU partner PEC-Siemens Center of Excellence in Chandigarh, where Punjab Engineering College has partnered with Siemens to set up 14 state-of-the-art labs worth about Rs 170 crore. Invested.”
Professor Rihani said, “Our curriculum is based on project-based learning in each semester leading to patents and research papers and industrial exposure through direct interaction with industrial experts with the help of various industrial visits.
He said that the B.Tech Civil Engineering (with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Geo-informatics), Civil Engineering program has been revised by incorporating elements of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, GIS, Remote Sensing, AutoCAD and several associated software applications Is. These changes have been made keeping in mind the current and future construction related requirements of Civil Engineers to build a bright career and offer job opportunities. Internship training, project work in every semester, student survey camps, webinar series, seminar discussions are compulsory for the students. He said that this is a unique program developed in Shoolini University.
Former Vice Chancellor of Panjab University Prof. RC Sobti, who is also an adjunct faculty of Shoolini University, said that the Yogananda School of AI, Computer and Data Science is offering B.Tech Computer Science with specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing. and Cyber Security in collaboration with IBM and AWS, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) has become one of the most sought after programs in the modern world due to its promising and beneficial scope. Since the applications of this degree are in all sectors and industries, the opportunities multiply.
Whereas, Data Science equips students with statistical, mathematical and machine learning reasoning, knowledge discovery, and visualization skills.

Pro. PK Khosla remarked that Shoolini University’s emphasis on preparing students for the practical world, as well as its focus on cutting-edge research and innovation, has established the institute as a premier establishment in India . When questioned about the decline in engineering admissions, Prof. Khosla said that “Artificial Intelligence is the future, so we have updated our curriculum norms to enable students to compete in this technology.”
Responding to a question, Professor Khosla said, “SCIMAGO has provided Shoolini University rankings based on four criteria: teaching and learning, research, social impact and perception”.
Prof. Dinesh Chatanta, Professor and Head Bioengineering and Food Technology and Dean PG Studies, said that Shoolini University’s Faculty of Applied Science and Biotechnology is also doing a great job in getting grants from the Government of India, such as for infrastructure development. Research and development projects from government national funding agencies for He said that more than 250 international agreements have been signed for exchange and joint academic and research work for the benefit of the students.

Prof. Rihani said that through this program, students will acquire cross-disciplinary skills in areas such as statistics, computer science, machine learning and logic, become data scientists, and gain career opportunities in the future with extraordinary potential areas and challenging roles. can do.
