Shasti Bonalu was celebrated grandly on Sunday at the Kumkumayi Mallanna Temple in the mandal. Devotees from various villages along with their family members reached the temple and had darshan of Mallanna Swamy with devotion and paid obeisances. After the darshan, the Bonalu was specially decorated and Bandari Puja was performed by the Oggu priests and offerings were made to the Lord.
They are complaining that the devotees who come in large numbers from various mandals of the joint Adilabad district are not being provided with basic facilities. They have alleged that the devotees themselves have to bring all the items from home.
He urged the authorities to take the initiative and provide fresh water, roads, electricity and drinking water facilities to the devotees. Tandoor Sub-Inspector Kiran Kumar along with police personnel visited the temple and made arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents during the Mallanna Bonala fair.
