SFI does not have style of leftist student movement, it should be corrected: Binoy Vishwam

ALAPPUZHA: Amid repeated reports of campus violence, CPI state secretary Binoy Vishwam said that SFI does not have the style of a leftist student movement.
“SFI activists do not know the meaning of the word Left and the political depth of it. SFI does not have the style of a leftist student movement,” he told the media in Alappuzha.”Such primitive culture is not suitable for SFI and this style should be corrected. Those in the SFI should read the history of the movement, otherwise they would become a liability for the Left,” he said.
“They must realize that this is not their way. They should be led to the right path and made into the Left’s strength,” he added.Four students who were SFI activists were suspended from the college for beating up the Koyilandi Gurudeva College Principal Dr Sunil Bhaskar and Staff Secretary KP Ramesan. The action is against Theju Sunil MK (2nd year BBA), Theju Lakshmi TK (3rd year BBA), Amal Raj RP (2nd year BCom) and Abhishek S Santhosh (2nd year Psychology).
