Severe heat in 9 places including Chennai

Tamil Nadu : On Wednesday, 9 places in Tamil Nadu including Chennai recorded temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The highest temperature in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday was recorded in Vellore at 103.28 degrees Fahrenheit. Apart from this, Erode – 101.48, Madurai Airport – 101.3, Chennai Meenambakkam, Trichy – 100.58 each, Tiruttani, Thanjavur, Parangipettai – 100.4 each, and Nagapattinam – 100.22 degrees.
Also, the maximum temperature in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will be 3 degrees Celsius above normal from Thursday (June 4) to June 6.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that due to change in the speed of western wind, moderate rain is likely at some places in Tamil Nadu for the next 6 days.
