Hamirpur: Due to server down in cheap ration depots, the consumers had to worry a lot throughout the day for ration. The server of the depots remained closed for about three and a half to four hours. In such a situation, consumers were also seen getting confused with the depot holders at many depots. Depot holders are also very hurt by not giving other options for ration. Because they have to get confused while giving ration to the consumers every month. According to the information, the servers remained down in the depots across the state from Wednesday morning till afternoon. Long queues of people were seen in the depots for ration throughout the day. Due to this, consumers started getting ration after three to four hours. Consumers had reached the depots for ration before 9 am on Wednesday, but the servers of cheap ration depots were down since morning, which remained closed till around 12.30 pm. In such a situation, the consumers have been able to get ration in the depots only after about three and a half to four hours.
Depot holders are also very hurt due to server down, because without server they are unable to give ration. It is being told that even on Tuesday, the server was running intermittently throughout the day. Consumers have urged the state government to allow the depots to give ration through other options as well, so that when the server is down, the ration of the depots can be given by scanning the QR code and card. In such a situation, the consumers will not have to visit the depots again and again. The problem of server down in depots has been seen across the state. On the other hand, Ashok Kavi State President Depot Steering Committee said that there has been a problem of server down in most of the state’s depots. Heated exchanges of consumers with several depot holders have also been reported. The state government should find a permanent solution to the server down, so that the consumers do not have to worry.
