Ghaziabad: Security has been increased outside the Hindon Air Force Station area in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh due to the presence of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina, who arrived in India from Bangladesh on Monday, is currently in a safe house at Hindon Airbase.
The Ghaziabad Police is keeping a close watch and doing extra surveillance outside the airbase. The security inside the airbase is the responsibility of the Indian Air Force. Security arrangements have been tightened from ground to sky. IAF helicopters can be seen flying at regular intervals.
According to the information, some cars have reached the airbase from the Bangladesh Embassy in Delhi. If former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina decides to leave the airbase, the traffic police has been put on alert to change the route and secure the road.
Earlier on Tuesday, the transport aircraft C-130J, which brought Sheikh Hasina to India, left Hindon Airport at around 9 am with seven military personnel towards its base in Bangladesh. At the same time, during the all-party meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar informed the leaders of political parties in Parliament about the current situation in Bangladesh.
It is worth noting that Sheikh Hasina had reached India after the violence in Bangladesh. From here she has to travel further, but due to the situation not being completely clear yet, she will stay at Hindon Airbase. Her daughter living in Delhi can also reach Hindon Airbase to meet her in a short while.
Let us tell you that after the student movement in Bangladesh spread across the country, the protesters in Dhaka also vandalized and created a ruckus. The demonstration of the students had become very violent. The protesters also vandalized and looted by entering the PM residence.
