Schoolgirl committed suicide by hanging, suicide note found in the room

Ambikapur. The police have filed an FIR against a youth in connection with the hanging body of a schoolgirl found hanging in an under-construction house in Namanakala of the city. Police investigation revealed that the student was mentally tortured by the youth. Fed up with his actions, the student committed suicide by hanging herself. On February 18, 2024, the hanging body of a minor was found in the under-construction house of Namanakala in Ambikapur. She was identified as a student studying in the school. The student lived in Namanakala with her family members.

When the police started investigation, it was found that a young man used to harass the deceased by talking to her on the way to school. The deceased was tortured due to this. She had told her mother about the youth harassing her by forcibly stopping her on the way and talking to her. The mother had also told her husband. Despite the deceased’s father refusing to talk to him, he tried to communicate with the deceased verbally and over the phone. He also used to call the deceased’s home number. When the accused was interrogated, he admitted to frequently talking to the deceased verbally and over phone before and on the day of the incident. During investigation, it was found that the deceased was being tortured by the young man. On this basis, the police have registered a crime under section 305 against the accused.
