Raipur. The hard work and discipline of the students of the Prayas residential schools operated in various districts of Chhattisgarh has achieved great success. In the recently announced 10th and 12th board examination results by the Board of Secondary Education, the children of Prayas Residential School have once again got great success. In Prayas Vidyalaya, the 10th board exam result has been 99.3 percent and the 12th board exam result has been 97.22 percent. Among these, the percentage of students passing first division in class 10th was 96.45 percent and in class 12th it was 82.02 percent. This year’s exam result is much better than last year. Last year it was 90.70 percent in 10th and 79.38 percent in 12th. Principal Secretary of Tribal, Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and Minority Welfare Department, Sonamani Bora and Secretary Narendra Dugga have congratulated and congratulated the students of Prayas schools of the state for their better performance.

It is noteworthy that in the past years, the children of Prayas Residential School have performed excellently in various national and state level competitive examinations. Till now, 116 students of Prayas Residential School have got admission in IIT or equivalent, 328 students in NIT or equivalent, 940 students in Engineering College and 52 students in M.B.B.S. Have been selected. Apart from this, 29 students have got success in CA, CS, CMA and 04 students have got success in CLAT.
07 children secured place in merit in class 10th
Officials of the Tribal Welfare Department said that in the examination results declared this year by the Board of Secondary Education, 07 students of Prayas have secured a place in the merit list. Among the students who came in merit, 04 students of Prayas Residential School, Kanker – Mayank Korram, Kumari Payal Adhikari, Kumari Varsha Sahu and Kumari Mallika Markam are included. Similarly, one student each from Prayas Vidyalaya Durg, Jashpur and Kanya Prayas Vidyalaya Raipur – Kumari Arya Kashyap, Ayush Sahu and Kumari Bobby Minz respectively have succeeded in securing a place in the merit list. Apart from this, the result of Prayas Residential Schools, Raipur, Bastar, Jashpur, Kanker and Korba has been 100 percent and the result of Prayas Residential Schools, Durg, Bilaspur and Surguja has been more than 95 percent.
Officials said that the result of Prayas Residential School class 12th board exam has been 97.22 percent. Among these, the percentage of students passing in first division is 82.02 percent. The result of Prayas Residential School, Raipur and Jashpur is 100 percent, while the result of the remaining Prayas schools has been more than 91 percent.
It is noteworthy that Prayas Yojana is an important component of the Chief Minister Child Future Protection Scheme. Under the scheme, facilities of education, housing, food, sports and entertainment etc. are provided for the all-round development of tribal children of Naxal affected districts of entire scheduled area and non-scheduled area of Chhattisgarh state. Also, the main objective of this scheme is to create stability in their lives by establishing them in employment while playing the role of a mentor. The children studying in Prayas Residential Schools come from very ordinary families, but on the basis of school discipline, good guidance of teachers and hard work of the children, Prayas Vidyalaya has created a distinct identity for itself in the state.
