The death anniversary of social reformer Savitribai Phule was celebrated under the auspices of the BRS party at the Tungaturthi mandal center on Tuesday. On this occasion, floral garlands were placed at her statue and a grand tribute was paid. Speaking on the occasion, BRS mandal president Tadukonda Seethaiah recalled her services for the betterment of society. He praised Savitribai’s work for the education of the poor and weaker sections and for social equality as inspiring to many. Tuniki Sailu, Gopagani Ramesh Goud, Gopagani Srinu, Tadakamalla Mallikarjun, Venkanna, Kadiyam Gopi and Latif participated in the program.
