Durg. On the special occasion of her birthday, Savita Verma of Durg has presented a unique example of donating her body among her relatives and friends. Counseling program of PRANAM President Pawan Keswani was organized at Savita Verma’s residence C/29 Karmachari Nagar for body donation. During this, a large number of people present there were given detailed information about the importance and process of body donation. Savita Verma’s husband and her innocent son, who was involved in women’s self-reliance and many social service activities, died in a road accident in 2007. His sister Padmini Samuel provided her emotional support by signing as a witness relative for body donation. During this time, Vimala Gurjar, T Padma, Indu Jain, Anu Goyal, Y. were present there. Ragini Purnima Tandon, Anita Verma, Minoti S, Mala Jaiswal, V Prasad, Venkat Sairam and Rakesh Sahu provided their special participation in this noble moment of body donation. Pranam has been continuously taking innovative initiatives of body donation since 2008. By joining this, till now more than 1900 enlightened people have taken the pledge of donating their bodies, in which the mortal remains of about 200 great human beings have been dedicated for study in various medical colleges of Chhattisgarh.
