Vijayawada: YSRC general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu now needs to rely on actor-politician Pawan Kalyan to attract crowds to his party’s events. Speaking at the TDP’s Yuvalam Navasakam meeting, Sajjala said that Naidu, despite having four decades of political experience, had stooped to the level of being dependent on the Jana Sena party chief to make his party’s program successful, having failed in the last two elections. Were defeated at places. “Naidu had to go to Pawan Kalyan’s residence and convince him to attend the TDP meeting,” Sajjala said. He said that both the leaders tried to create confidence among their workers by getting a group photo taken. On TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh’s claim that he had seen the problems faced by people during his Yuva Galam Padayatra, Sajjala asked why he could not solve the problems when he was a minister. The YSRC leader said both Naidu and Pawan Kalyan were not disclosing why they parted ways in 2019 after fighting the elections in alliance in 2014. “It seems that Pawan Kalyan is working with the sole aim of making Naidu the Chief Minister again. If his intention is to make Naidu the CM, then he can merge his party with TDP. “He can serve as the president of the Telangana unit of the party,” Sajjala said. He further said that there is no clarity on whether Naidu or Lokesh will become the Chief Minister if they win the elections. “The people of the state are no longer ready to believe Naidu’s promises as he has failed to fulfill the promises made in the 2014 elections,” he said. On the change of YSRC assembly constituency coordinators, Sajjala said it has been going on for the last two years. He said, “We want to enter the elections with our best team.”
