Berhampur: Rudrabhishek of 11,25000 Shiva Lingas is being performed in Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh. And a saint from Odisha has become the torch bearer of this massive worship.
The holy month of Shravana is going on. This month is considered favourite of Lord Shiva. It is believed that a devotee can get special blessings of Lord Shiva by performing Rudrabhishek on any Monday in the month of Shravana.
A massive worship is being carried out in the Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh these days. This worship involves Rudrabhishek of as many as 11 lakh 25 thousand Shiva Lingas. The worship is going on in the premises of the Hajari Hunuman temple in the bank of River Sipra. The worship will continue for seven days. As many as 11lakh 25 thousand earthern Shiva Linga have been made.
Saints from Puri, Haridwar, Brundaban, Kashi, Rameshwar, Dwarka and Mathura have graced this religious institution. From Odisha the Mahanta Maharaj of the Papudia matha Mahamandaleshwara Sri Ramakrushna Das ji, the Mahanta Maharaj of the Neula Das matha Dr. Ramachandra Dash ji, The Mahanta of Kanas matha Sri Purnachandra Dash ji Maharaj and Devadutta Maharaj, the main priest of the Haripriya Ashra in Digapahandi of Ganjam district have graced this religious event and are actively participating.
Reportedly, the massive Rudrabhishek is going on with the wish of betterment of the world as well as wellbeing of the people of Odisha.
