RSS leader V. Bhagaiah addresses ‘Yuva Samvad’; emphasizes fulfilling national responsibilities alongside one’s career.

JHARKHAND: Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary V. Bhagaiah called upon the youth not to limit themselves merely to personal careers and financial success. He stated that the youth are the nation’s greatest strength and must fulfill their responsibilities towards nation-building, social accountability, and ethical values alongside their personal growth.

Addressing the RSS ‘Yuva Samvad’ (Youth Dialogue) program, V. Bhagaiah remarked that India’s future lies in the hands of its youth. If young people channel their knowledge, skills, and energy for the welfare of society and the nation, the country can scale new heights of development.

Appeal to Prioritize National Interest

In his address, V. Bhagaiah noted that while most young people today focus on securing better education and building successful careers—which is both natural and essential—it is equally important to understand one’s responsibilities towards society and the nation.

He emphasized that the duty of a responsible citizen extends beyond one’s family and profession; it also involves playing a role in bringing about positive change in society.

Role of Youth in Nation-Building

V. Bhagaiah highlighted that India is one of the youngest nations in the world, and this demographic profile has the potential to become the country’s greatest asset.

He urged the youth to:

  • Participate in social service activities.
  • Raise awareness about environmental conservation.
  • Volunteer in sectors such as education and healthcare.
  • Strengthen social harmony and national unity.
  • Become responsible citizens who respect the Constitution and the law.

Emphasis on Character Building

Speaking at the event, he stated that a nation’s progress is determined not merely by economic growth, but by the character and ethical values of its citizens.

He appealed to the youth to adopt values such as honesty, discipline, a spirit of service, and a sense of duty in their lives. According to him, a society with strong character forms the foundation of a strong nation.

Education: Beyond Just Employment

V. Bhagaiah asserted that the purpose of education should not be limited to securing a job; education also shapes an individual into an aware, responsible, and sensitive citizen. He stated that if education is limited merely to economic success, the objective of the society’s holistic development remains unfulfilled.

Message of Social Harmony

He also emphasized the need to strengthen mutual cooperation, goodwill, and harmony within society. According to him, in a diverse nation like India, dialogue and cooperation among all sections and communities are crucial for the country’s progress.

He called upon the youth to rise above social divisions and increase their participation in positive thinking and constructive activities.

Effective Use of Technology and Innovation

V. Bhagaiah noted that today’s youth are well-connected with technology and digital resources. He urged them not to limit their use of technology to entertainment alone but to utilize it for education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social development.

He observed that the positive use of digital platforms can accelerate awareness and development within society.

Inspiring Message for the Youth

Concluding his address, he said that while every young person should strive for excellence in their respective fields, they should also consider how their actions benefit society and the nation.

He remarked that personal success and national service can complement each other. If the youth move forward by striking a balance between the two, they can make a significant contribution toward making India a developed and self-reliant nation.
