Rs 19 crore approved for Rohru road improvement: Vikramaditya

Himachal Pradesh: Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh today said a budget of Rs 19 crore has been approved for widening of Rohru-Chirgaon road. “People were demanding widening and upgradation of the road for a long time. Keeping this in mind, the state government will widen the road so that traffic is smooth and tourists visiting here can get better facilities,” he said. Addressing a school function in Rohru, the minister said the government is making a new plan with the help of the central government for those villages which are not yet connected by road. “Such villages will be connected by roads in the next two years. Work to connect these villages with roads will be started as soon as the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana Phase-4 starts in the state,” he said.
