Rourkela Revenue Inspector convicted in bribery case, gets rigorous imprisonment

Sundergarh: Manasi Sahoo, the ex- Revenue Inspector (RI) of Malidihi RI circle under Rajgangpur Tahasil in Sundargarh, who is currently posted as Rourkela RI has been convicted in a bribery case.

Sahoo was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case vide Sambalpur Vig. PS case No.10 dt.27.03.2019 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 for demanding and taking bribe Rs 8,000 from a Vendee to submit favourable enquiry report in mutation cases for issuance of RORs in his favour.

Today, the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and fine.

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for dismissal of Manasi Sahoo from service following her conviction.
