Nellore: Former minister and YSRC leader R.K. Roja on Friday criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Nagari, stating that his public program failed to attract people and that his statements did not impress the public.
Speaking to the media, Roja said that facilities such as a dialysis center, urban health center, RBK center, village clinics, and a polytechnic were established in Nagari during the YSRC government’s tenure, while alleging that Naidu had done very little for the constituency despite being Chief Minister four times. She accused the government of failing to fulfill its election promises, including 500 units of free electricity for handloom weavers, payment of Rs. 360 crore in arrears to 40,000 mango farmers in Chittoor district, unemployment allowance, women’s welfare schemes, and assistance to farmers. She also alleged that the government was neglecting environmental issues by failing to provide a power connection to the ETP plant.
Roja questioned the government’s stance on the land resurvey and QR-code enabled passbooks, alleging double standards, and accused the Chief Minister of betraying the interests of Rayalaseema. She said that the people would hold the government accountable for the promises it had failed to keep.
