Maharashtra: MLA Prof. Ram Shinde has suffered a major setback. BJP leader Rajendra Deshmukh of Karjat taluka has announced to join NCP Sharad Pawar faction along with thousands of supporters. Senior BJP leader Rajendra Deshmukh in Karjat taluka held a rally of supporters in Rasin. And in this, the NCP party announced to join Sharad Pawar faction and work with MLA Rohit Pawar. As soon as he made this announcement, thousands of supporters welcomed him with loud slogans and applause. Karjat Jamkhed assembly constituency has drawn the attention of the whole state. The work of filing nomination papers has started.
MLA Ram Shinde is going to file nomination papers tomorrow on Friday. And just a day before that, Rohit Pawar has given a big blow to Ram Shinde. He has included his party’s senior leader in Sharad Pawar faction in NCP. This is going to be a big blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Rajendra Deshmukh’s grandfather and father are known as big leaders of the old Congress party in Ahilyanagar district. Late leader Bapusaheb Deshmukh had made a major contribution in the construction of Jagadamba cooperative sugar factory in Karjat taluka. In the 2009 assembly elections, Bapusaheb Deshmukh lost by just a few votes.
After this, in 2014, Rajendra Deshmukh left the Congress party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party along with MLA Ram Shinde. In the 2019 assembly elections, he also worked for Ram Shinde and BJP. But after the elections, MLA Ram Shinde and senior party leaders never took Deshmukh into confidence regarding any work. Because of this, he was left behind in the Bharatiya Janata Party and finally in the first phase of the assembly elections, he got rid of Ram Shinde and BJP. In this, MLA Rohit Pawar’s Musiddi politics worked. MLA Ram Shinde got many small and big leaders from NCP parties to join the BJP, but Rohit Pawar has given the Karjat Jamkhed constituency to the BJP by taking a big leader of BJP to the NCP party.
