Ranchi (IANS) | In Ramgarh town, adjacent to Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, armed criminals looted about thirty lakh rupees by shooting at the employee of an agency that was pouring cash into an ATM. The employee has been badly injured due to the bullet, who has been admitted to the local hospital for treatment.
Told that the employees of the company were going to take cash from the office of Life Insurance Corporation of India located at Jhanda Chowk, a busy area of Ramgarh city and keep it in the cash van. Meanwhile, five criminals riding on two bikes reached there. He took a bag full of money from the security guard. On protesting, they opened fire. The bullet hit the security guard’s leg. After this the criminals also fired in the air. This created a stampede-like situation at Jhanda Chowk. After this, the criminals fled on a bike.
The information of the incident was immediately given to the Ramgarh police station. The police is investigating the matter CCTV footage around the spot is being extracted. The Chief Branch Manager of LIC Ramgarh Branch said that a total of Rs 29,34,747 was given to the employee of the CMS company. Surprisingly, there is no CCTV camera in the office near where the robbery took place. The police claim that the criminals will be arrested soon.
