Raigarh. On Thursday afternoon, two unknown robbers riding a bike committed robbery worth Rs 46 thousand in Kharsia police station area of the district. The victim has complained about the matter at Kharsia police station, after which the police has started searching for unknown accused. According to the information, the victim Bartram Sidar, resident of village Suti under Kharsia police station area, told that he works in farming. At 11 am on Thursday morning, he had gone to Apex Bank with his wife Karmin Bai on a motorcycle to withdraw money.
Where both withdrew money from different accounts.Bartram Sidar withdrew Rs 15 thousand from his account and wife Karmeen Bai withdrew Rs 31 thousand from her account. After this, both of them left the bank to go home at around 4.30 pm. The victim filled petrol at a short distance and left for home. Victim Bartram Sidar told that during this time, in front of Hospital Tiraha in front of Ambedkar Complex, two persons sitting in a bike came from behind and snatched the bag full of money kept in the wife’s hands and ran towards Mangal Bazaar. 46 thousand cash and bank passbooks were kept inside the bag.One of the two accused who had come to loot the money, the one riding the bike, had his face covered with a cloth. After the robbery, the husband and wife shouted ‘hold on, hold on’ but the robbers ran away with the cash. Kharsia outpost police have registered a case against unknown robbers and started searching for the accused through nearby CCTV footage.
