Durg. Road Safety Month started with helmet rally. Senior Superintendent of Police and Collector appealed to wear helmet, seat belt, not to drive under the influence of alcohol, not to drive in a dangerous manner and to help the injured persons.
District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police released the traffic book on “Steel City Safe City” written by DSP Traffic Satish Thakur. Senior Superintendent of Police, through the students present in the program, appealed to follow the traffic rules.
Traffic information is being given by installing traffic displays, models, equipment, safety equipment of ACDR, Maruti, traffic game zone and RTOs and through Nukkad. A game zone related to traffic rules has also been created for school children. Tableaux related to road accidents will be included in the 26 January Republic Day Parade.
