Raipur. 18-year-old Shubham Raj was injured in a serious road accident in Ramanujganj on Saturday afternoon. Shubham, a resident of Ward No. 6, was traveling to Ranka to appear for his 12th grade exams and fill out his NEET application form. The accident occurred near Bhanwari, Jharkhand, near the Jharkhand-Chhattisgarh border. According to reports, Shubham was traveling on his bike when a truck loaded with rice was driving recklessly. The truck hit Shubham’s bike, leaving him seriously injured and covered in blood. Shubham immediately informed his father about the incident.
Upon receiving the information, Shubham’s father rushed to the scene and immediately admitted him to the 100-bed hospital. Doctors at the hospital provided first aid to Shubham, noting his critical condition and deciding to refer him for better treatment. Shubham suffered severe head injuries, which prompted doctors to pay special attention to his condition. Following the accident, Shubham’s family members, enraged, set out to chase the truck. They chased it for approximately 80 kilometers, intercepting it in Revati and handing it over to the police. The truck driver is now in police custody and further action is being taken against him. Upon receiving information about the incident, Councilor Vikas Gupta rushed to the hospital to inquire about the injured youth’s well-being.
He wished Shubham a speedy recovery. Police arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident, and a case has been registered against the truck driver for violating traffic rules and causing an accident by negligence.
