Retired soldier played a bloody game: killed 5, escaped after burning the bodies

Ambala: The person who killed his own brother’s family is said to be a retired soldier. He fled from the crime scene after the murder. According to the sister of the accused, there was a dispute over land in the family. The incident took place in Rator village of Narayangarh in Ambala. It is being told that the retired soldier committed the murder late on Sunday night and also tried to burn the bodies at 3 am.

According to the information, the people who were killed by the accused with a sharp weapon include mother, brother, brother’s wife and his two children. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Harish Kumar, 32-year-old Sonia, 65-year-old Saroopi Devi, five-year-old Yashika and six-month-old Mayank. Apart from this, two people have been seriously injured, who have been referred to Chandigarh for treatment. The deceased’s sister said that there was a land dispute going on in the family for some time. I also do not have much information about why this incident was committed.

According to the police, the reason behind this murder is said to be a land dispute. After committing the crime, the accused is absconding. Ambala SP inspected the spot and the police took the half-burnt bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem to Ambala Cantt Hospital. At the same time, according to a doctor of the hospital, five bodies were brought to Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital. These include the bodies of husband-wife, an elderly woman and two children.
