DIBRUGARH: Under the aegis of SPIC MACAY, a musical extravaganza was organized by DPS Duliajan on Wednesday in which Ustad Johar Ali Khan, the renowned Indian classical violinist, held the audience spellbound with his magical performance.
The celebrated violin virtuoso was accompanied on tabla by Ujjal Roy and Baisampayan Bhowmick in taanpura. This unique programme was a part of the Upper Assam circuit of SPIC MACAY and DPS Duliajan successfully conducted it. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by felicitation of Ustadji along with his accompanying artistes.
A press statement issued here stated that the incomparable music maestro took the stage and then began his enthralling renditions of violin recital. The entire school auditorium reverberated with the soothing music pieces rendered in their inimitable grace and style. At the end of his presentation, Ustadji interacted with the students and shared his valuable words of wisdom and insights. The event was attended by a large number of students and faculty members for whom it was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the true essence of Hindustani classical music. At the end of the musical performances, a token of gratitude was presented to Ustadji and his accompanying artistes by the school authority.
