French carmaker Renault has announced its plans to introduce five new car models in India by 2027. This includes the next generation of Tibur, Kiger along with 2 new SUV models. Renault will also launch an EV in India and that will be localised. The company is also renewing its used car program called ReNew.
The company has also announced that its new brand identity will be launched across its networks in 2024. Renault will also make some modifications and additions to its existing car range in India. The carmaker currently sells three models in India and these include the Triber, Kiger and the Kwid.
What to expect from new Renault cars?
The company has confirmed that the new generation Triber and Kiger will be launched in the near future. However, the company has not given its exact deadline. Both the Triber and Kiger face stiff competition from rival cars from manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Kia, Hyundai and Tata.
At the same time, the company will launch two new SUVs in the coming years. This includes a B+ SUV and a C SUV. Renault is expected to launch the new Duster with a 7-seater variant based on the Bigster concept. The new Duster is based on the modular CMF-B platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance and comes with Dacia badging. It will have Renault badging when launched in India.
Talking about the new EV car, it is expected that the new electric car will be Kwid EV. It will compete with Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3. The price of the EV is expected to be under Rs 10 lakh due to heavy localization factor.

The company has updated the prices of Kwid, Kiger and Triber in India. Kwid prices now start at Rs 4.69 lakh and go up to Rs 6.12 lakh. Similarly, Kiger now starts at Rs 6.00 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.00 lakh. On the other hand, the price of Triber starts at Rs 6 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.75 lakh.
