Akshaya Tritiya : Akshaya Tritiya, celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakh, is considered one of the most auspicious occasions in the Hindu calendar. Akshaya Tritiya is also called ‘Akha Teej’.
According to religious beliefs, it is believed that Lord Parshuram, Nar-Narayan and Hayagriva were incarnated on this day. This time Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated on Saturday, 22 April. Since, on this day both the Sun and the Moon are situated in exalted signs. That’s why it is considered auspicious to buy gold or invest in new things on this day.
However, there are some such things, which should be thrown out of the house on this day. Otherwise, the mother gets angry. On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, broken brooms, torn shoes and slippers, broken idols of gods and goddesses should be thrown out.
Broken Broom – Broom is the symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. Many rules have been given in the scriptures regarding the broom. On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, if there is a broken broom in the house, the blessings of the house end. Worship of Maa Lakshmi does not even yield results. Therefore, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the broken broom kept in the house should be taken out. Mother Lakshmi is pleased with this and there are blessings in the house.
Torn-old shoes-slippers- Torn-old shoes and slippers bring poverty in the house. Mata Lakshmi comes to the door and returns due to mutilated shoes and slippers in the house. That’s why on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, torn shoes and slippers kept in the house should be thrown out.
Broken utensils- Broken utensils in the house create disturbance in the family and Goddess Lakshmi does not reside. Apart from this, broken utensils also bring negativity in the house. That’s why on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, throw the broken utensils out of the house.
Dirty clothes- According to religious beliefs, Maa Lakshmi loves cleanliness very much. Maa Lakshmi is attracted by the cleanliness of the house. That’s why keep the house clean on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. Do not keep false utensils, dirty and unwashed clothes in the house. This enrages the Mother Goddess.
Dry Plants – If you have planted plants in your home. If those plants are drying up or have dried up, bury them under the ground or let them flow in a river or flowing water. Because dry plants cause Vastudosh in the house. Mata Lakshmi gets angry with this. By keeping the dry plant away from the house, the blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi remain and there is progress in life. That’s why throw it out of the house on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
