Reliance Group appoints Parul Sharma as Group President

New Delhi (IANS) | Reliance has appointed Parul Sharma as Group President. She will take over her post from 20 June 2023. Prior to Parul, there was Tony Jesudasan in this post, who served for almost 40 years. He died in February this year, after which the responsibility has now been handed over to his wife Parul Sharma. Welcoming Parul to the Reliance Group, Anil Ambani said, “I am delighted that Parul is joining us as Group President. Though this is Parul’s first professional association with the Reliance Group, she has been a part of the Reliance family for a long time like Tony’s partner. Parul joining the group is also special because it shows what it meant for Tony to be in the Reliance group.

Parul Sharma reshaped the corporate image, publicity and relationships of Rupert Madrek’s Star India and led the communications strategy for 15 years. Prior to this she was with Cologne-based German broadcaster ‘Deutsche Welle’.

Parul Sharma has said that it is not an easy task to replace Tony in Reliance Group, but Tony will be very happy to see me doing this job.

Parul will see his work from Delhi itself.
