Business Business: Xiaomi has launched a new budget smartphone in its home market. The company has launched it as a successor to the Redmi 13R 5G. Many features are the same as the older model, but many new things have been added. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor for performance. It has a 13 MP main camera. The latest budget smartphone was launched in four variants: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The starting price is CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs 13,000). The phone is available in Olive Green, Shadow Black, Lavender and Deep Sea Blue colours.
The phone has a 6.88-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1640 x 720 pixel resolution. It operates at a maximum brightness of 600 nits.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset is used to power the performance of the smartphone. The chipset is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory.
The all-new Redmi 14R 5G features a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP selfie camera.
The phone packs a 5160mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The phone runs Android 14 based on Hyper OS. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 14R 5G has several upgrades over the Redmi 13R 5G. It offers a larger display than the 6.74-inch 90Hz display on the 13R 5G. The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ in the previous model has been replaced by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. The battery of the phone has also been upgraded.
