Realme Neo 8 has been launched in China as the latest addition to the Neo series. The device is equipped with a large 8,000mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The device sports a glass rear panel with a transparent design with the ‘Awakening Halo’ RGB light strip that lights up upon receiving notifications, calls and more.
Display and camera details
The Neo8 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution, a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, and up to 165Hz refresh rate. The smartphone uses the Samsung M14 panel.
Camera wise, the device sports a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor with OIS, a secondary 50MP JN5 periscope telephoto unit with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. In addition, the Neo 8 is equipped with a 16MP selfie camera at front.

The device is packed with a 8,000mAh battery that supports up to 80W SuperVOOC charging along with bypass charging.
Processor, Software and security updates
A Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC power the device, paired with UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. It also features a large vapor chamber. The phone boots Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 and comes with several AI features. The company will provide three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches for the device.

Other specs of the Realme Neo 8 include an IP69 rating for water and dust proof, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 7, infrared blaster, NFC, and stereo speakers. The phone measures 8.3mm thick and weighs 215g. It features a metal frame.
Realme Neo 8 Price, colour options
The Realme Neo8 has a starting price of at CNY 2,599 ($370) for the 12GB and 256GB option, whereas the 12GB and 512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,099 ($445).
You can also have the phone in the 16GB and 256GB option for CNY 2,899 ($415), or the 16GB and 512GB model for CNY 3,399 ($490). Finally, there’s also a 16GB and 1TB variant that’s priced at CNY 3,899 ($560).
The smartphone is currently available for purchase in China in three colors namely-Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White color options.
