Tamil Nadu: AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami said he is ready to do anything for the people of Tamil Nadu.
Edappadi K. Palaniswami responded to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s criticism of him at government events in Erode district, to which Edappadi Palaniswami posted on the ‘X’ website on Wednesday:
During the DMK’s four and a half years of rule, farmers did not receive even basic crop insurance for paddy cultivation. Due to improper release of water from dams, water did not reach the downstream areas. This resulted in the flooding of up to 200,000 acres of land in the delta region alone. Yet, this government showed no concern for the farmers.
I recently met with Prime Minister Modi and requested that we need a metro project not only for Coimbatore but also for Madurai.
However, the DMK government has not even officially submitted a detailed project report for those projects. Chief Minister Stalin is playing politics by not taking steps to address the shortcomings. Will you boycott it because it is the DMK’s rule? Chief Minister Stalin asked. When the DMK was in power, I met the Central Home Minister and insisted on funding the Chennai Metro Phase 2. Accepting our request, the Central Government ordered ₹63,246 crore.
The AIADMK has always stood with the people and done good work. But the DMK works with the sole purpose of not benefiting the people.
He posted that he is ready to do anything for the people of Tamil Nadu.
